Accent

July 20th, 2010

3 sixty 5 : three-hundred and twenty-three
The folks at Eckert Hyundai let me borrow a new Accent to see how I like it, not the most stylish car in the world, but it’s fun to drive, suprisingly roomy and very affordable for a new car. I’ll be looking at the Honda Fit and Ford Fiesta [...]

First Holga Roll

December 2nd, 2009

Just got back my first roll of film taken with my Holga. I had some confusion with how much to advance the films so most of the frames ran over on each other, but that’s kind of the beauty of the Holga I guess. The accidents, mistakes and experimentation is why I got this little [...]

Don’t Assume

**READ AT YOUR OWN PERIL, THIS POST MAKES NO SENSE**
I used to be able to write, that’s what I originally started blogging for. Writing, not posting random photos, but writing random things that mostly only made sense to me. I could just keep going on a string of thoughts (usually ranting or complaining about something) [...]

Happy Birthday Will!

November 2nd, 2009

Today my nephew is officially 2 years old! How time flies! He had a Halloween/B-Day party on Saturday where he dressed up as Tony Romo and was a great little football player.

Formatting?

August 23rd, 2009

Apparently my website looks jacked viewed in anything other than IE7. So I apologize for any wonky formatting, I’m trying to figure it out. Some pictures are overlapping each other, but they can still be clicked on to be viewed larger.

Found a tutorial on “smudge painting” today and thought I’d try it out. It’s basically taking a photo and smudging/blurring selectively (and tediously) in PhotoShop to get a painterly look. I normally try to stay away from just regular filters and things because they generally look like you put a filter on the photo (and [...]

…on my door!? 3 times!? Very, very loudly!? At 4:45 AM!?
Why the police of course… Who were following a tip that some “Joe” guy they were looking for was in my apartment complex with a Melissa. Apparently I’m one of two Melissa’s and so they wanted to know if I had let “Joe” in my [...]

June 26th, 2009

ISO 50 on my 5D is so buttery smooth, even at 100% crop you don’t see any noise. It’s just perfect in oh so many ways…
Call it Land O’ Lakes cause it’s like buttah!

Happy Birthday to Me!

June 4th, 2009

Just turned 24 today, how exciting!…well, it’s something anyways. My boss was nice enough to give me a half day today, so I was happy about that.
…….
I was planning on rambling oun for a while, but I’m all of sudden very tired. Instead here’s some photos from a recent trip to the Duck Pond.
